About the Department

The Department of Education at Arunachal Pradesh University, Pasighat, was established on July 1, 2022, as part of the university’s founding initiatives. Official operations began following approval in the 1st Executive Council Meeting on May 23, 2023. Initially staffed by two guest faculty members, Dr. Kaling Moyong and Ms. Mumseng Modi, the department commenced its postgraduate classes with an inaugural batch of twenty enthusiastic students on August 22, 2023. Dr. Kaling Moyong was later appointed as the first Assistant Professor in the department of Education through a competitive recruitment process on September 11, 2023 (APU/26-APNT/2023).

The department is committed to fostering a learning environment that promotes critical thinking, innovation, and holistic development. With a focus on quality teaching, research, and community engagement, it aims to contribute meaningfully to the educational and social progress of Arunachal Pradesh.
